How often did we, as children, do our homework at the kitchen table, watching our mothers as they prepared another delicious chocolate cake? And how many times did we patiently wait for the permission to lick the chocolate-covered spoon? The kitchen is the heart of our home, a place full of life, love and conversation; a place where recipes and memories are shared.

Started in 2006, with the advent of the Lebanese turmoil, Recettes de Vie’s social initiative is more than a cooking book; it reflects the values of sharing and giving and our mission to help our community as much as we can. After all, Lebanese are recognized all around the world for their hospitality and generosity. Recettes de Vie is the outcome of friends offering their best culinary secrets and journey that have been passed down from generation to generation with the support of amazing sponsors and a human chain of volunteers. Recettes de Vie is the result of people working together.  It is a unique gift for any occasion to share with your loved ones.

Thanks to the incredible support of many Lebanese and friends of Lebanese from around the world, to date, more than $350,000 have already been allocated to 31 NGOs.  100% of the book’s proceeds supporting humble heroes and sheroes who are changing thousands of lives.

After a successful first edition in French launched in 2008, Recettes de Vie 2 was launched in French and in English in Beirut, Dubai, London, Paris, Singapore, and New York City. It offers a discovery of the hidden recipes of more than 200 ‘chefs’ and boarding on an unforgettable culinary journey around the world.

The success of Recettes de Vie was recognized at the Gourmand Best in the World competition in China with the book winning the 3rd prize under the chapter Asia charity fundraising book.
